Grow the company you set out to build.

As your business grows, so do the challenges.

Marketing isn't producing like it used to. Sales is leaning too hard on discounts. The innovation pipeline is full, but priorities aren't clear. Your team is capable, but important decisions still keep coming back to you.

Those are the problems I help solve.

I work alongside founders and leadership teams to sharpen where the business can win and turn that into clear action across sales, marketing, innovation and strategic planning.

The result: stronger positioning, clearer growth priorities, a more focused innovation pipeline, better sales tools and a leadership team that can make faster, more consistent decisions.

Hi, I’m Kathryn.

I’ve spent my career helping founders turn ambitious ideas into businesses built to grow.

For more than 25 years, I’ve built and scaled consumer businesses across food, beverage and pet — working alongside founders and leadership teams through periods of rapid growth, change and critical decisions.

I’ve led across marketing, sales and innovation, often in the seat just behind the founder where the work extends well beyond any one function. As a founding executive at Freshpet, I helped create an entirely new category and led marketing as the company tripled revenue and prepared for its IPO. As CMO and later CCO of Farmer Focus, I helped scale the business to more than $230 million and the #2-selling organic chicken brand in grocery.

Today, I bring that operator’s perspective to founder-led businesses navigating growth — combining the perspective of an advisor with the practical experience of someone who has been accountable for making the decisions, leading the teams and delivering the results.

How I can help

Founders usually bring me in when there’s a problem they need to solve or an opportunity they want to get right.

Sometimes the problem is obvious: marketing isn’t producing like it used to, sales is leaning too hard on discounts, innovation lacks focus, or the plan isn’t creating clear enough priorities.

Other times, the business is doing incredibly well — and the next decisions matter. A new channel, customer, product, investment or stage of growth creates real opportunity, and the founder wants to make sure the choices they make build on what’s working rather than pull the business away from it.

I work alongside founders and leadership teams to get clear on where the business can win, make the choices that matter, and translate them across the business — so growth keeps moving, the team moves faster, and the company can scale without losing what made it successful.

“Kathryn integrated into our management team with ease and worked with us to create both a more focused brand positioning as well as an actionable plan for our long- and short-term sales and marketing strategies. Highly recommend.

Know something needs to change?

You don’t need to have the answer — or even have the problem perfectly defined. If something isn’t working the way it should, or an important opportunity is ahead, let’s talk about what’s happening and what it will take to keep the business moving forward.
